By Air:
El Prat Airport
is located six miles (10 km) south of Barcelona and is connected to
the city centre by various means: Aerobus, there's a RENFE train
(line 1) every 30 minutes to Sants Station and Placa de Catalunya
(both central Barcelona) from 6:11 A.M. to 11:15 P.M. Follow the
illustrated signs to the airport train station. Fare is about 300
Plas (E 1.80) and travel time is about 15 minutes. The trains are
air conditioned and have plenty of luggage space.
Taxis are
available at the airport 24 hours, fare is about 3800 Ptas (E 23).
Travel time is about 20 minutes.
Atesa, Avis, Europcar, and
Hertz car rentals are available at the airport. Note: Take the train
into the city and then a taxi to your hotel should cost about half
the price of a taxi from the airport.
By Train:
The main
railway stations are Estacio de Sants (Metro L3, L5 Sants-Estacio)
and Estacio de Franca (Metro L4 Barceloneta).
By Car:
Ronda Litoral until Port Vell, where the Ramblas and Placa de
Catalunya (Barcelona city center) are located.
